Description

Collection relating to the Second World War Service of VX18355 Gunner Edward Maynard Mills, 2/4th Field Regiment, AIF. Collection consists of army papers including discharge papers and two leave passes; personal papers including two greeting cards presented to Mr Edward on his retirement from work; an advertising leaflet for Deval's Circus troop entertainment, Deolali Camp, India, in November 1940; and an advertising leaflet for a horse race meeting at Deir Suneid Racing Club. Also included in the collection are two newspaper clippings, one relating to training, and the other to an archaeological find in Lebanon written by war correspondent Kenneth Slessor.
