Description

Collection relating to 2247 Sergeant (Sgt) Stuart Alan Webb, who served with 28 Battalion AIF and was a prisoner of war (POW) of the Germans in Friedrichsfeld POW camp. Comprises one letter written by Sgt Webb to his brother, Vince, and four POW letter cards written by Sgt Webb to Vince and their mother. Added to the collection in August 2015 was a one page letter from King George from Buckingham Palace in 1918 sent to those POWs returning home, and an invitation addressed to Sgt Webb to attend a dinner hosted by The Suffolk Prisoners of War Help Committee, in Ipswich, UK on 30 January 1919.
