Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of Private Laurence Alexander Allanson, 23rd Battalion. Collection consists of an original letter and typescript titled 'Synopsis of trip from Australia to England' on board HMAT Ballarat in 1917. It includes his account of the torpedoing of the Ballarat just off the English Coast on Anzac Day 1917.
