Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of PM1726 Leading Seaman Frederick John Corp, HMAS Shropshire, RAN). Collection consists of a single page letter (with envelope) written by Corp on 30 August 1945. The letter was written en route to Tokyo from Manila and describes places visited. The envelope is stamped 'HMAS Shropshire Official Signing of Japanese Surrender' which Corp thought might have some souvenir value to the recipient.
