Description
Collection of papers relating to the military career of General Kenneth MacKay. The papers document General MacKay's military service in South Africa as commander of the New South Wales Imperial Bushmen's Contingent; his role in raising the 1st Australian Horse Regiment and career as Director General of the Army Reserve. Other records relate to General Mackay's involvement in politics, literature and farming, including a paper he wrote on the use of Chinese labour in South Africa in 1903.
