Description
Collection relating to service of Able Seaman (later Commander) Leslie Rundle Brooks, HMAS Parramatta, Australian Waters and Mediterranean, 1917-1918. Collection includes typescript copy of diary January 1917-December 1918, and handwritten precis of diary June 1917-November 1918. Copies made in 1921 by Australian War Memorial, Melbourne and bound into file covers. Location of originals unknown.
History / Summary
Biographical note: Leslie Rundle Brooks first enlisted with the Royal Australian Navy in 1915, and he retired from the Navy in 1960.
