Description
Collection relating to NX6925 Sapper Herbert Beros, 7th Division Royal Australian Engineers, Papua, 1942.
Collection consists of an original manuscript of the verse "The Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels" composed by Beros, eulogising the work of native carriers in evacuating wounded soldiers from the Owen Stanley Ranges on the Kokoda Trail, New Guinea in 1942, and a typed, printed copy - the latter with a dedication to NX33708 Sapper Victor Harold Cooke.
