Description
3rd Battalion men leaving the transport SS Derfflinger, a captured German liner, in a British destroyer to land at Anzac Cove. The enemy's shells were getting uncomfortably close. Each load gave a great cheer as the destroyer left the transport's side. Note the rowing boats being towed alongside and behind the destroyer for use in disembarkation.
