Description
Collection (typescripts and photocopies) relating to service of Sergeant Ralph Harley Adams MM, 8 Battalion in Seymour, VIC; Gallipoli, and France. Diary extracts and letters detail trench life including difficulties encountered. Included in the collection is a photocopy of the ANZAC bulletin [publication] for 23 August 1916 describing the action at Pozieres. Photocopies made 1927. Location of originals unknown.

Biographical note: 2207 Sergeant Ralph Harley Adams, MM, 8 Battalion, AIF. Killed in action, Ypres sector, 4 Oct 1917. Age 25. Son of Ralph Alexander and Janet Adams of 'The Retreat', Miles, Queensland.
