Biographical note: Lance Corporal, 25th Bn, AIF. School teacher; of Gatton, Queensland; born Leeds, Yorkshire England; came to Australia aged 2; joined AIF 10 June 1916; killed in action at Villers-Bretonneux, 4 July 1918, aged 34.
