Description
Collection relating to the service of 542 Corporal William Alfred Hallahan, 51 Battalion, AIF, Gallipoli, 1915. Collection consists of a typescript copy of one letter sent by Hallahan to his family in Australia, from the Gallipoli Peninsula.

Biographical note: Corporal W A Hallahan, 51 Battalion, AIF. Killed on 26 June 1916 at Fleurbaix. Other biographical details concerning him: Railway engineer of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, born Ross, Westland, New Zealand, age at time of death 26. Educated at High School, Westport, New Zealand, came to Australia at an early age.
