Barnes, Charles Albert (Captain, b.1880 - d.1915)
Description
Collection relating to service of Captain Charles Albert Barnes, 11 Battalion, Gallipoli 1915. Collection includes photocopies of letters and diary with regular entries of voyage to Egypt and training prior to ANZAC Landing. Copies made 1928 by Australian War Memorial. Location of originals unknown. Barnes died on 28 April 1915 of wounds received at the Gallipoli landing.
