Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of 416376 Warrant Officer William Alfred Caudle, 178 Squadron RAAF. Collection consists of a black and white photocopy of a diary, covering the period March 1942 to February 1944. It contains daily entries covering enlistment, arrival in England; initial training in Bournewouth; posting to the Middle East; and operations over Crete and Italy. Also included is a charred piece of silk cloth and cord which are part of a parachute from a Liberator.
