Mullins, Thomas, MC (Chaplain)
Description
Collection relating to the service of Chaplain Thomas Mullins, 4 and 2 Light Horse Brigades, at sea, Egypt, Gallipoli, 1915-1916. Collection consists of forty-one handwritten pages of Mullins recollections of his experiences between January 1915 and November 1916.
History / Summary
Biographical note: Chaplain the Reverend Thomas Mullins, MC, Roman Catholic priest, of Ardlethan, New South Wales, born County Limerick, Ireland, 12 February 1877. Joined the AIF on 17 March 1915 and was attached to the 4th Light Horse Brigade; 2 November 1915 - transferred to the 2nd Light Horse Brigade; 18 April 1917 - appointed senior RC chaplain in Egypt; 24 April 1919 - attached to No. 14 Australian General Hospital; 12 April 1920 - AIF appointment terminated.
