Rusden, Arthur Stuart Keylock (Corporal, b.? - d.1918)
Collection relating to the service of 5215 Corporal Arthur Stuart Keylock Rusden, 59 Battalion, AIF, at sea, Egypt, France, 1916 and 1918. Collection consists of a notebook containing handwritten copies of a diary kept by Corporal Rusden during 1916, and a typescript copy of a narrative entitled 'Villers-Bretonneux - 25th April 1918'. Copies made by Corporal Rusden's father, Arthur Spence Rusden. Location of originals unknown.
5215 Corporal Arthur Stuart Keylock Rusden, 59 Battalion, AIF, who on 4 July 1918 was killed in action at Hamel. Other biographical details concerning him are: clerk (Victorian Income Tax Department); of Nhill and Ballarat, Victoria; born at Rupanyup, Victoria; educated at Nhill State & Ballarat High Schools, was a sergeant in Ballarat High School cadets, joined the AIF on 3 January 1916; was wounded at Polygon Wood (Third Battle of Ypres) in 1917; age at time of death, 20 years 9 months.
