Portrait of 1351 Private (Pte) Stanley John Grant, 2 Squadron, AFC, of Burnside, SA, beside a Sopwith Camel aircraft. He enlisted in Adelaide on 2 May 1916 and embarked from Melbourne on 6 December 1916 on the HMAT Orsova. Pte Grant worked as a 2nd Air Mechanic during the war and he returned to Australia on 6 May 1919.
