Description
Lee-Enfield No 4 Mk 1* (T) Sniper Rifle. Receiver butt socket strap stamped M 47 C over 1944 over the serial number and TR. Butt wrist stamped with S.51 underneath. This rifle is fitted with a Number 32 telescopic sight, accessioned as REL/07125.002 attached to mounting pads on the left side of the action. It has a separate wooden cheek piece screwed to the butt.
History / Summary
This rifle was manufactured at the BSA factory at Shirley, UK and converted to a sniper rifle by Holland and Holland Ltd. The markings on the telescope indicate that it was sent to Israel after the Second World War.
