Description

A view of the building in Malaya used as the 600 bed 2/10th Australian General Hospital (AGH), known at the time as the 10th AGH. Early in 1942, it was decided to evacuate this hospital due to the speed of the Japanese advance down the Malayan peninsula, by this time the hospital had 1200 beds, a number of specialty departments as well as vast quantities of medical and hospital equipment. The day after it was evacuated, this area was heavily bombed by the Japanese.
