Description
Correspondence from 7967 Corporal (Cpl) Jack Marriett Turner. The letters cover the period 24 March 1915-6 May 1919 during which time Turner worked as a farrier in Egypt and then with 5 Machine Gun Battalion in France. The letters are predominantly addressed to his parents and describe the various sights seen by Turner, the conditions experienced and also reassuring his parents that he is in good health.
