Storey, William Tyson (Private, b.1890 - d.1956)
Collection relating to the First World War service of 3927 Private William Tyson Storey, 10 Battalion, Egypt and France, 1915-16. Collection consists of a digital donation of images of a 21 page diary kept by Storey during 1915-1916, covering his service up to his wounding in France in 1916. The diary briefly recounts Storey's time in Egypt for training, and his service on the Western front including at Pozieres and Bullecourt. Also included in the collection is a sheet of four photographs of Storey, and a family tree. No original material is included in this collection however, a paper copy of the digital files has been printed for ease of access.
Tears visible in scanned copies of the diary were caused when Storey was injured by shrapnel in 1916.
