Description
Royal Australian Navy blue wool strip embroidered with red cotton chevrons.
History / Summary
One chevron was applied to the lower right sleeve of a sailor's uniform for each year of service during the Second World War. An appropriate number of chevrons would be cut off the strip and applied to the sleeve.
