Do it again Daddy please! Buy me a Victory Bond.
Description
First World War poster issued by the Canadian Government to promote the sale of Victory Bonds. It features a happy young girl with a red hairband and white playsuit. She is asking her father to purchase another war bond standing next to a row of building blocks arranged to spell out the subtitle.
This poster accompanied a 1917 Victory Bonds campaign and several versions of the same design were distributed. Approximately 75,000 posters were produced and contributed to the raising of $419 million in two weeks. Miss Faith Berry of Toronto, the little girl who posed for the artist, was given a $500 bond and a bouquet of flowers in recognition of her contribution to the war effort.
