A crossover point on the railway tracks at a railway siding on the outskirts of Phnom Penh, just prior to the arrival of the 'Sisophon Express', a train bringing 331 refugee families from the Thai border camps for repatriation to Cambodia. A small rattan and thatch dwelling sits on the other side of the tracks and the dry, dusty nature of the landscape indicates that this is the Cambodian dry season. To the far left, some children from the hut are playing around the railway tracks. The Repatriation Component of the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC) was responsible the repatriation and resettling of 370,000 Cambodian refugees located in Thai border camps from April 1992 until March 1993 with only one fatality recorded.
