An aerial view of the Cambodian countryside between Phnom Penh and Battambang in wet season conditions, demonstrating the intensive use of land for rice growing, an activity which employs 85 percent of the country's labour force. The pattern of villages and their associated paddy fields is exemplified by the small town in the centre.
