Description

Australian journalist Marje Prior (left) interviews a Khmer teacher in a classroom at the Preah Leap Agricultural College about the class he is running for a group of trainees. The trainees will soon themselves be conducting training sessions for agricultural students and farmers throughout the provinces of Cambodia. The curriculum they are using was prepared by Ross Macindoe, a senior Australian agricultural extension officer with assistance from his partner, TAFE teacher Jennifer Hartley. Prior and photographer Heide Smith visited Cambodia in January and August 1993 to document Australian involvement with UNTAC, later publishing a book entitled 'Shooting at the Moon - Cambodian Peacekeepers tell their stories'.
