Description

Two women wash their clothes by stomping on them in a small metal basin at a squatter settlement in Phnom Penh. They have used water from the large earthenware urn sitting to the left, which is identical to that used by many Cambodians to store fresh water. Behind them recently washed clothes hang on a line to dry. The lack of a clean water supply poses a major health issue to many Cambodians, especially during the dry season.
