Front row: NX32358 Pte Samuel James Longham; Brogan; Graham (possibly NX35646 Pte Ronald Graham (died of illness as a POW at Sandakan, Borneo on 27 March 1945)); NX32987 Pte William (Bill) Thompson (POW); NX35887 Corporal (Cpl), (later Sergeant) Walter William Spring (embarked from Singapore to return to Australia on 6 February 1942); NX35164 Pte Jack Neville ‘Duck’ Mayes (reported missing in action, presumed KIA in Malaya on 11 February 1942).
