We risk our lives to bring you food..." A message from our seamen"
Description
British First World War poster issued by the Ministry of Food (Food Control poster No. 42). Featuring " A message from our seamen.." the poster depicts a merchant seaman carrying his knapsack over his shoulder and looking forlornly at a broken loaf of bread that has been dropped in the gutter. The message urges the viewer not to waste food that people have risked their lives to bring to Britain.
