Description

A canvas german MG08 machine gun belt that has been converted for wearing on the waist. It is adorned with British, French, German, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand and U.S buttons and badges including the Machine Gun Corps badge and the Royal Berkshire Regiment badge. The belt buckle is Imperial German with the raised crown and words 'GOTT MIT UNS' in the centre. Two deactivated 7.92mm German rifle bullets are pushed through the canvas loops. Attached to the belt by a spring toggle is a utility knife with chequered plastic grips, folding blade with broken tip, spike and spear point can opener. The utility knife is made by J Clarke and Son Sheffield.
