Germany's Battle Cry is "Germany Over All"
British recruiting poster produced early in the war by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee. The poster challenges Germany's policy of the annexation of Belgium, and the German propaganda line, which promoted the idea that only victory for Germany would lead to peace. Another issue the poster raises is the alleged atrocities committed by the Germany army during the invasion of Belgium. It reads: 'Britain is fighting not only for the freedom of Europe but to defend your mothers, wives and sisters from the horrors of war.' This is a text based poster only, with no images. The designer has alternated white and orange text against a purple background to catch the viewers eye; the font style also alternates. The poster is surrounded by a white border.
