Buy thrift stamps...
Description
First World War poster issued by the Canadian Government to sell thrift stamps. Children were encouraged to buy thrift stamps which could be saved up and exchanged for a Victory Bond. This poster depicts two young boys in short pants standing beside a wall bearing a circus poster featuring a clown and performing dog and horse. The boy on the left has his back to the viewer looking at the poster, whereas the boy on the right faces the viewer and holds Dominion of Canada thrift cards'. The image covers the whole, with the title and text integrated. The title is positioned along the bottom, in red, and the text is placed across the top in black. The triangular War Savings Stamps emblem is positioned in the lower right.
