Portrait of 405 Wing Commander Lloyd Albert Douglas DFC who served with No. 1 Squadron RAAF, No. 100 Squadron RAAF, No. 13 Squadron RAAF, No. 79 Wing Headquarters (Operational) and commanded No. 2 Squadron RAAF. As Flying Officer (Temporary Squadron Leader) Douglas, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) for 'his courage, leadership and devotion to duty. He proved himselfd an able and courageous leader over a long and exacting period of active occupations.'
