Unpublished manuscript written by Merna Kidgell relating to Flight Sergeant Frank Lamond who served with the 14 Squadron RAAF. Entitled 'We call him Bill' it recounts Sgt Lamond's early life and war experiences as well as containing photocopies of letters and photographs sent by Sgt Lamond to his family and friends. Incorporated in PR01737 (as of 18 April 2002) is a second illustrated unpublished typescript by Merna Kidgell titled, 'The Pilot and the Navigator' (38 pp) being a compilation of biographical information about two RAAF Flight Sergeants, Ralph James Ayers and Charles William Maxwell 'Max' Corkill, both posted to RAF 149 Squadron in 1943 and who served in one mission together. Also includes information about the Stirling Bomber and post-war search for Flt Sgt Ayers.
