Description

Studio portrait of 4518 Private (Pte) Francis Perrin Dingle, 32nd Battalion, of North Croydon, SA. An electroplater prior to enlistment, Pte Dingle embarked with the 12th Reinforcements from Adelaide on HMAT Berrima on 16th December 1916. On 21st October 1917, after transferring to the 50th Battalion, he died of wounds received in action in Belgium and was buried in the Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Belgium.
