Wallet 1 of 1 – Consists of two folders of material relating to Private Sinfield.
Folder 1 of 2 contains four letters and one envelope from Private Sinfield to his nine-year-old friend, Miss Winifred Wills (later, Mrs Winifred Morgan). In his letters, dated between 30 January and 23 July 1943, Private Sinfield writes about his experiences of serving with 2/1 Australian Casualty Clearing Station in New Guinea. Some of these experiences include receiving parcels from the Australian Comforts Fund, seeing local wildlife, interactions with local people, walking through the jungle, attending a dance, sending souvenirs, catching butterflies, and wading through mud.
