Description
Portsmouth, England. The Georgian building at HMS Vernon that was headquarters to the Enemy Mining Section. It was from here that men from the Royal Navy (RN), Royal Australian Navy Volunteer Reserve (RANVR), and men attached from other allied services, were sent out to render safe unexploded German mines and bombs dropped on land or at sea.
