Studio portrait of 359 Corporal (Cpl) John Arthur Thomson, 11th Light Horse Regiment, of Dalby, Qld. Cpl Thomson enlisted on 9 February 1915 and embarked from Brisbane aboard HMAT Borda on 2 June 1915. He died on 8 November 1917, after being wounded at Gaza, Palestine, aged 24.
