Group portrait of Japanese Naval nurses and Japanese Navy personnel in the gardens of the 8th Navy Hospital. The hospital was built by the Germans circa 1910, then operated by the Australian government after the First World War. From 1942-1945 the hospital was used by the Japanese Imperial Navy.
