Outdoor portrait of NX7324 Private (Pte) Leonard James Horwood. Pte Horwood served with the 17 Battalion, and later with the 2/20 Infantry Battalion until he was killed in action in Malaya on 10 February 1942. Pte Horwood's medals, and memorabilia including private letters to his family during the Second World War are held by the Australian War Memorial.
