Stare! - but act now. Enlist today
Description
An Australian First World War recruitment poster issued by the Queensland State Recruiting Committee. The poster has a simple yet effective design urging people to stop staring at soldiers, and enlist themselves. A doleful looking Australian soldier in a khaki uniform occupies the left side of the poster. He is advancing forward with his bayonet. Set against a red background down the right side of the poster written in yellow or white are the words 'STARE! BUT ACT NOW ENLIST TO DAY'.
