Description
Studio portrait of Indigenous serviceman 878 Private (Pte) Leslie Franklin, D Company, 24th Battalion, of Yea, Vic, aged 19 years. Pte Franklin enlisted on 24 March 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Euripides on 10 May 1915. He served with the 1st Division Signal Corps and returned to Australia on 7 November 1919.
