Description
Australian First World War recruitment poster produced by the New South Wales government. It features stereotyped propaganda of Germans as uncivilized barbaric Huns and entreats the viewer to enlist to prevent the killing of innocent women and children. Printed in blue, grey and white. The central image is of a Hun warrior wearing animal skins, holding a shield next to the date 'A.D.451' directly beneath him is a depiction of a threatening German soldier next to the date '1915'. The title text is printed above and below the image.
