Description
An outdoors group portrait of the General Officer Commanding, Brigadier-General (Brig Gen) J Heane, CB, CMG, DSO, and unidentified officers of the Staff of 2nd Australian Infantry Brigade. The group is outside the Chateau de Merode, where the 2nd Brigade Headquarters was billeted from 18 December 1918 to 22 March 1919. The two officers on either side of the Brig Gen are wearing Military Cross ribbons, the officer (right) also has one wound stripe on his lower left hand sleeve.
