Buy thrift stamps: teach them to save
Description
First World War poster issued by the Canadian Government to sell thrift stamps. Children were encouraged to buy thrift stamps which could be saved up and exchanged for a Victory Bond. This poster depicts a young girl wearing a white playsuit, pale blue shoes and a red hair band in her blonde hair. She is sitting at a table sticking stamps into her Dominion of Canada Thrift Card. Other toys, including a doll and alphabetical building blocks lie discarded in front of her. The image covers the whole, with the title and text integrated. The title is positioned along the top, in pale blue, with the subtitle in orange in the lower left. The triangular War Savings Stamps emblem is positioned in the lower right corner.
