The grave of Nurse Edith Cavell, a British nurse executed by a German firing party on 12 October 1915. The plaque on the grave reads 'Le Comite de Schaeboek de la Croix Rouge de Belgigue a Miss Edith Cavell Infirmiere Victime de son devouement patriotique. Decembre 1918.' On the right of the cross is a wreath from King Albert of Belgium.
