The cemetery in Old Cairo, showing the graves of an Australian, Sergeant Arthur Noel Meadmore 1st Battalion Australian Imperial Force, died 22 December 1914, aged 26 years, erected by the officers, NCOs and men of H Company (right), and a New Zealander, 10/1028 Private J A Campbell, Wellington Infantry Regiment, NZ, who died 14 December 1914, erected by the officers, NCOs and men of the 9th Hawkes Bay Company, NZ, the first soldiers to be buried in the Anzac reservation.
