Studio portrait probably of 1519 Private (Pte) William Charles Fawcett, 23rd Battalion, of Richmond, Vic. Pte Fawcett enlisted on 29 March 1915 and was killed in action on 20 September 1915 at Lone Pine on the Gallipoli Peninsula.
