Description
Studio portrait of either: 2273 Private (Pte) Walter White; or 208 Pte William White (right), and 765 Pte Samuel Robert White. 2273 Pte White, 60th Battalion, of Melbourne, Vic, originally of Hampshire, England, enlisted on 5 March 1915 and was killed in action on 19 July 1916. 208 Pte White, 21st Battalion, of Cobram, Vic, enlisted on 8 February 1915 and returned to Australia on 11 April 1916. 765 Pte White, 22nd Battalion, of Melbourne, Vic, and originally of Newry, Ireland. He enlisted on 17 March 1915 and was killed in action on 26 August 1916 at Pozieres, France.
