Description

An outdoors group portrait of unidentified warrant officers and sergeants of 1st Australian Machine Gun Battalion. In the front row, a sergeant (Sgt) (third from the right), and in the second row, a Sgt (fourth from the right) and a servicemen (first from the left) are wearing Military Medal ribbons. Note a sergeant in the first row (second from the right) and a serviceman in the back row (fourth from the right) wearing Distinguished Conduct Medal ribbons. The banner above the door (centre) reads '1 M.G. BATT H.Q.'.
