A group of unidentified men of the 2nd Australian Division, with their kits, waiting at a train station, before they embark for Australia. The sergeant standing in the foreground and smoking a pipe has an Anzac 'A' on his colour patch denoting Gallipoli service. Note the former German railcar (right) is marked on it side with 'Posen 7858 Gm' and its capacity and dimensions are listed on the far left.
